Surfing from Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen is Lanzarote's main tourist resort, stretching along the east coast with a busy promenade, long golden beach and calm, sheltered water. The east-facing aspect protects it from the Atlantic swell — which makes it wonderful for swimming and sunbathing, but not ideal for surfing.

Our preferred spot when the Atlantic swell and south wind align. About 70km from Puerto del Carmen — included in your lesson price. Best for intermediate level and brave beginners.
La Santa (Northwest)
Consistent swell, variety of breaks for all levels, quieter than Famara. Works on similar conditions — south wind, northwest swell.
El Golfo (Northwest)
Intermediate to advanced reef break with dramatic volcanic scenery. We bring students here when the main spots are too crowded or too big.

How We Choose the Beach Each Day
Every morning we check Windguru for swell height, swell period, and wind direction across all our spots. When conditions are right for Famara or La Santa, that is where we go. When the Atlantic is flat, we find sheltered spots that still have waves. You always surf somewhere worth surfing.

Puerto del Carmen is our most popular pickup point. If you're staying in the resort and want to surf, we take care of everything — transport to the best beach of the day, all equipment, and ISA-certified instruction in English, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese.
Sessions are 4 hours including travel, warm-up and instruction. We typically leave Puerto del Carmen around 09:00 and return by 14:00. All equipment — surfboard, wetsuit, rash guard — is in the van.
